BLawyers Vietnam’s privacy and personal data protection policy

1. Introduction

BLawyers Vietnam commits to protecting personal data in accordance with current Vietnamese law and BLawyers Vietnam’s Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) for users using the website https://www.blawyersvn.com (“User”).

2. Information on the processing of User’s data

In connection with the provision of our services, we will collect, store and process User’s data through User’s access and use of the website https://www.blawyersvn.com of BLawyers Vietnam (the “Website”).

BLawyers Vietnam’s Policy applies to all Users who access and/or use our Website, specifically as follows:

2.1. Types of data collected

We collect the following types of data from Users:

  1. Full name;
  2. Date of birth;
  3. Gender;
  4. Nationality;
  5. Personal image;
  6. Phone number;
  7. Email;
  8. Citizen ID card, Passport (if any);
  9. Contact address;
  10. Status/situation, legal issues; and
  11. IP address, cookies (if any).

This is the necessary data for us to contact and support Users in the process of consulting and providing legal services of BLawyers Vietnam.

2.2. Methods of data collection

We collect the above types of data through the following methods:

  1. Comments on the Website: When the User comments on the Website, we will collect, store and process the data mentioned in the “contact” section, particularly https://www.blawyersvn.com/contact-blawyers/
  2. Submitting information via the request form on the Website: https://www.blawyersvn.com/contact-blawyers/; and
  3. Communicating by phone, letter or email after completing items (i) and (ii) above.

3. User’s data processing methods

The User agrees that the User’s data referred to in Item 1.2.1 is processed by any method in accordance with BLawyers Vietnam’s Policy from time to time, including but not limited to, collecting, recording, analyzing, confirming, storing, rectifying, disclosing, combining, accessing, retrieving, withdrawing, encrypting, decrypting, copying, sharing, transmitting, providing, transferring, deleting, destroying personal data or other related actions.

4. Organizations and individuals that process User’s data

The User consents to the processing of the User’s data being carried out by:

  1. BLawyers Vietnam; and
  2. Other organizations and individuals cooperate/associate with BLawyers Vietnam to use this data to support Users in the process of using BLawyers Vietnam’s legal services with written consent from the User.

5. Basis for data processing

BLawyers Vietnam will collect, store, process User’s data from the time the User provides and shares it with BLawyers Vietnam through the Website until:

  1. The User withdraws consent for BLawyers Vietnam to collect, store, and process User’s Data;
  2. The User requests the deletion of data that BLawyers Vietnam has collected, stored, and processed from the User.

Please note that BLawyers Vietnam still has the right to store necessary User data in the cases stated in Item 1.7.1.(ii).

6. Means and tools for Users to edit data

Users can edit data collected by BLawyers Vietnam by requesting via email info@blawyersvn.com, or requesting directly through the website https://www.blawyersvn.com of BLawyers Vietnam; or through other appropriate means.

7. User Rights and Obligations

7.1. User’s rights

When using the Website https://www.blawyersvn.com of BLawyers Vietnam, Users have the following rights:

  1. Right to be informed: Users have the right to be informed of their data processing activities;
  2. Right to give consent: Users have the right to give consent or to not give consent to processing of their data, except in the following cases:
    1. In case of emergency, it is necessary to immediately process relevant User data to protect the life or health of the User or others. BLawyers Vietnam is responsible for proving this situation;
    2. Disclosure of User’s data as required by law;
    3. Performing obligations under the legal service agreement between the User and BLawyers Vietnam; or
    4. Providing data when requested by Vietnamese competent authorities.
  3. Right to access: Users have the right to access to view, rectify or request rectification of their data;
  4. Right to withdraw consent: Users have the right to withdraw their consent;
  5. Right to delete data: Users have the right to delete or request deletion of their data that BLawyers Vietnam has collected, stored and processed;
  6. Right to obtain restriction on processing: Users have the right to obtain restriction on the processing of their data. The restriction on the processing of their data shall be implemented within 72 hours after receiving the User’s requests, with all data for which the User has requested restriction;
  7. Right to obtain data: Users have the right to request BLawyers Vietnam to provide them with their data;
  8. Right to object to processing: Users have the right to object to BLawyers Vietnam processing their data in order to prevent or restrict the disclosure of User’s data or the use of their data for advertising and marketing purposes. BLawyers Vietnam must fulfill the User’s request within 72 hours after receiving the User’s request;
  9. Right to file complaints, denunciations: Users have the right file complaints, denunciations and lawsuits;
  10. Right to claim damage: Users have the right to claim damages according to the provisions of law when there are violations against regulations on protection of User’s data;
  11. Right to self-protection: Users have the right to self-protection according to the provisions of current Vietnamese law.
7.2. User’s obligations

When using the Website https://www.blawyersvn.com of BLawyers Vietnam, the User has the following obligations:

  1. To the extent possible, protecting their own data;
  2. Requesting other relevant organizations and individuals to protect their data;
  3. Providing complete and accurate data when consenting to the processing of User’s data;
  4. Participating in promoting, disseminating and raising awareness of User data protection skills; and
  5. Complying with legal regulations on personal data protection and participating in preventing and combating violations of personal data protection regulations.

8. Other commitments regarding the processing of data provided by Users

  1. BLawyers Vietnam will protect the data provided by Users in accordance with Vietnamese laws. BLawyers Vietnam will comply with the agreements and commitments mentioned in this Policy and other related contracts and documents.
  2. BLawyers Vietnam collects, stores, and processes User’s data provided by the User for specific, clear, and lawful purposes and means, within the scope limited in this Policy and in accordance with Vietnamese law. Accordingly, BLawyers Vietnam commits not to share User’s data for commercial purposes.
  3. BLawyers Vietnam commits to collect, store and process User’s data until one of the cases in Item 1.5 occurs, or until it is no longer necessary for the purpose of collection.
  4. During the process of collecting, storing and processing User’s data, BLawyers Vietnam and related parties will apply necessary technical and security measures within our capabilities to protect User’s data.

However, the User understands and acknowledges that no system, technical or security measures are absolutely safe for online transactions, and that cyberspace and other methods of collecting, storing and processing User’s data always have potential risks, including but not limited to, data leakage or data dissemination due to technical or security systems being attacked. In such cases, if BLawyers Vietnam and related parties have applied all possible measures, BLawyers Vietnam and related parties shall not bear any responsibility to the User and the User’s related parties (if any).

10. Policy Updates

  1. This Policy comes into effect from 18 June 2025.
  2. Contents not mentioned in the above Policy will be implemented in accordance with the provisions of Vietnamese law.
  3. BLawyers Vietnam will publicly announce on our Website any changes to the above Policy.
